Blue News – One week after the start of the war, more than 650 people have been killed by Israeli attacks in Iran, according to activists. According to the US-based human rights network HRANA, 657 people were killed in the attacks and 2,037 were injured.
The activists rely on a dense network of informants and publicly accessible sources for their work. The government itself does not publish daily figures on casualties and fatalities.
According to the activists, the fatalities include at least 263 civilians and 164 military personnel. A further 230 dead and around 1,500 injured have not yet been identified. HRANA also reported attacks on civilian infrastructure. In the capital Tehran, a children’s hospital was hit by a projectile – with no casualties. In the province of Ilam, a fire station was damaged. An Israeli attack on a car factory in the west of the country resulted in a major fire with casualties.
